About

A local point of view, in easy English.

Practical information from Korea, with the details behind it.

TRENDIDI is an English-language guide to shopping, beauty, travel and everyday life in Korea.

I live in Korea and share practical details from places I visit and products I try. The first English guides focus on shopping and beauty: finding a product, understanding a store service and reading the conditions on a promotion.

What comes from my own experience

I use local visits, products I have tried and my own photos where they help explain a guide. I make it clear when a detail comes from an official website or another source rather than my own experience.

A visit to a store does not mean I have tried every service. I do not describe a membership, payment or booking process as tested unless it has actually been checked.

What I check

  • English and Korean place names, so you can recognise them on a map or sign.
  • Prices in Korean won (₩), with the date they were checked.
  • Membership, phone-number, payment and reservation conditions that may affect overseas visitors.
  • The difference between a personal experience and a store’s current rules.

Information can change

Opening hours, stock, promotions and service rules can change after a guide is published. I include check dates for details that may change and point to official information where useful.

If you spot something that needs updating, please contact me and include the page URL.
